Lift your voice, clap your hands, and dance with us, as we welcome Shabbat together. Welcome Shabbat with us on Friday, January 5th and let your spirit soar as two gifted chazzans lead us in this inspirational service. Yaakov Gothard will lead us in welcoming Shabbat using Rabbi Sholmo Carlebach's melodies, followed Toby Wexler's beautiful rendition of Maariv.
All are invited, regardless of denomination or religious upbringing, and new-comers are absolutely welcome.
For more information, please contact Rivka Monheit ([email protected]) or Yaacov Gothard ([email protected]).
Saturday, January 6th Morning Services 9:00 am
The Torah portion, Parashat Vayechii, will be read by Nosson Wiggins. The Rabbi’s sermon will be on “The Aleynu Prayer: Why we are obligated to praise G-d.” Davening will be followed by a lively Kiddush. Rabbi Lindenblatt will then lead a class discussing Parshat Vayechi.
Saturday, January 6th Shabbat Ends 6:25 pm
If you would like to lead part of the Shabbat service, read part or the entire Torah portion, read the Haftorah portion, or give a d'var Torah on Shabbat, please contact Rabbi Lindenblatt at [email protected]. This is a wonderful way to participate in your shul and/or celebrate an event, such as the anniversary of your Bar Mitzvah. In addition, if you would like to stay in the neighborhood for Shabbat please contact the Lindenbatt’s at (404) 874-3754.
